NEw to forums, what did you do for shock locations?? I want to do the leaf swap to my 97 e locked. Do I need offset shocks like silverados or 1st gen runners for example, one forward one backward? Or can I keep stock locations both on rear of axle

Picked up a Lefty. Just need to order plates and a top-shift kit.

Between the craziness that has been going on at work lately, and the fact that I can’t sleep when I get out of work, I knocked out a dual Jerry can mount.
@ Bandit Runner
, I took some artistic liberties with the design, hope you don’t mind. I still need to get you those roof rack designs.
Got the 3/16 diamond plate from the scrap bin at my local
Yard, and the ‘cover’ is 1/8”x1.5” from Home Depot.

Looks great Doc! The hinge and latch are exactly how I figured they would work.

Yours will be easy.
Honestly, if it’s all the same climate controls; I’d just swap everything over.
This is a 96 5 speed going into a ‘99 Limited; so my wiring process probably isn’t going to help you a whole lot.

I was thinking of that because I have the entire harness and everything. Theoretically if I swap that harness from there on its just plug and play im pretty certain. At any rate, nice to see another manual getting its usage!
EDIT: here are all the part numbers I could find that toyota still stocked for the m/t. I was planning on a possible rebuild at least with new bearings and seals so I dug this up a couple months back. Figured i'd post them here if you needed a reference number for anything!
Clutch Pilot Bearing (90363-12024) $5.41
M/T Output Shaft Bearing, Rear(90363-30075) $16.04
M/T Output Shaft Bearing, Front(90363-35078) $46.14
M/T Input Shaft Bearing(90363-40034) $51.36
M/T Counter-shaft Bearing, Front(90365-25019) $65.11
M/T Counter-shaft Bearing, Rear(90365-34005) $33.08
Manual Transmission Input Shaft Seal (90311-32012) $8.15
EDIT #2: Prices are all from Conicelli Toyota
