5160s bilstein

Does anyone know if the 05+ Tacoma or the fj 5160s would work on a third gen. with 891 coils.

The FJ ones should. Might be a little long so you would probably have to hard mount the cone bumpstop. The Taco ones won't because the bottom bushing is smaller.

I've tried. I happen to have a box of both shocks 30 feet from my desk at work.

so youve put 5160s on a 3rd gen?
how was it?

right now im looking for a good shock while i save up for the icon 2.5 piggy backs.
i was thinking the 5125s but ive been reading about problems with the top bolts and adapters.
then i was thinking about the 5150s and my shock guy said they are horrible and the only bilstein hes had repeated problems with.
what would you recommend?

Don't post in this thread or any other thread that you have posted in the last hour if all your going to do is repeat something else someone has already stated.
