Smile FYI: part number for remanufactured Toyota OEM CV axles.

I emailed ToyotaPartSales.com and asked for the part number/quote for an OEM reman. (as well as a new) CV axle, and this is what I got back:

Quote:
Hello! At this point, the cv axle shafts are all remanufactured by Toyota, no new ones around any longer. #43430-35030-84 is the part number. They are $155.93 each, plus $75.00 core charge each ($230.93 each), plus shipping.
Just wanted to share this with the awesome community and let this serve as a future reference for part #'s for a remanufactured CV axle from Toyota as an option for those who want to get OEM.

I take it that this is almost as good as a new OEM?

Being remanufactured by Toyota, I would like to think so. Minus the core charges, those prices aren't too bad for OEM. Thanks for the 411.

I know this is an old thread but thanks for the info. I just had mine replaced, 2001, no lift, with 215k. They weren't making noise but I was "might-as-welled" when replacing the LBJ's and seals. I saw on my invoice REMAN and began to flip out as I did not authorize and assumed the dealer always installed OEM.

If anybody has experience with longevity, please share. Hope I didn't make a mistake.

I bought a new napa when I had a boot rip. It looked identical to the factory one I removed.

Do you know which NAPA axle you went with? I see a few options there. How did it hold up?

I have read that some guys like Napa because they’ll warranty broken ones. But seems like they break a lot. If you don’t feel like going back and forth to Napa and replacing them I’d recommend spending a little more and getting something better quality
