Newbie with questions... (2002 Sport Edition)

Newbie here..

I just bought my first Toyota. It is a 2002 4Runner Sport 4WD. The color is Thunder Cloud with about 69,000 miles.

I have a few questions - maybe you guys can help me out.

1) Some of the emblems on the tailgate are partially broken off and I would like to replace them with the Black Pearl Emblems. Can anyone recomend a cheap place to get the full kit for an SR5 4WD? And what is a good price?

2) I plan to put my SUB/AMP from my previous vehicle in the 4Runner and keep the factory head unit. Does anyone have a good method to tap into the speaker outs without having to do it at the doors?

Any suggestions or comments would be helpful.

Thanks!

Congrats man! Great lookin Runner! Looks just like mine minus the Scoop, Bug Deflector and Boards.

Can't help you with question #2 but as far as your first question try this link:

http://www.toyota-parts.com/

I've ordered from them twice now and been very happy both times. Not sure exactly what your looking for but check it out and that will give you an idea what they are going for. By the way this is a dealership in Dallas Texas. All will be original factory stuff.

Since your new to the 4runner you also might like this site:

Spend some time there and then get a second job...your going to need one.

Great truck man! Have Fun!

hey, congrats on your runner purchase. i bought a black 02 sport edition this summer and i love it!

as for your stereo question, let me tell you and everybody else here about a GREAT resource for these questions.

www.the12volt.com

they have archives of wiring diagrams for pretty much every vehicle and i know they have one for the runner. it will tell you what the wire colors are, and where to find them. also, if you have any other tech questions there are professional installers on the forum everyday that answer your questions on anything electrical for vehicles...

good luck!
