front wheel bearing replacement

Hey all, It's about time to replace passengers front wheel bearing. I've been looking around and can't find any good how too's on this topic. I am aware that it needs to be pressed in/out, I have that covered for the free!! I'm curious as to what all needs to be disconnected also what parts. So far I can think of wheel bearing (duh) 2 snap rings I believe, abs ring, and axle seals, anything else??? If youve done this or know where a good how to is i'd greatly appreciate some of your knowledge. Also It's a 2000 runner

Its pretty straightforward:
Remove the brake, abs sensor, and lines
remove the axle nut
remove the upper and lower ball joints (outter tie rod comes with the lower)

Take the knuckle assembly to your freebie press

I wish I would have taken more photos, but the couple I snapped are here

Introduction, and eventualy upgrade thread......

Yeah, it is pretty straightforward. Just be very observant of how everything comes apart as you have to put everything back together in the right order, and you don't want to forget anything. Follow the FSM.

Check out the link in my sig, I took some pictures too, but not too many. If you have never replaced bearings before, use the old bearing races to drive in the new ones. Other than that, not as much too it as people probably think. Again, just be careful about putting everything back together in the right order.

If I were you, I'd try to re-use your seals. The outer seal is like $40 each. Just be sure to grease it before you put it back in, and try no to damage it while removing it.
