I want a scooped hood for my 97

Ive got a 97 limited and i want to give it a tougher look by adding a scooped hood to it. ive been looking on Ebay and elsewhere online for days and have come up with nothing. all i se it a glue on fake scoop and a carbon fiber one. but due to the things i subject my 4runner to, i think i need a steel hood. if found a scooped hood for later years in the generation, but when i called to ask if i could use it in an application to mine. i was told there not compatable. anyone have any help for me?

yep yep, buy it from toyota, easiest answer to your question. i heard like $150 unpainted $300 painted or something. i know the feeling your goin through now, i used to want one, they look narley too. dont get those little glue on ones either, their overpriced and cheap products that will be a waste of money and only prevent you from re-saleing your current stock hood.

yeah no kidding. my other (more expensive) option was to buy a cheap plastic scoop then take it to my friends shop and have him fabricate a hood for me. but seeing as how im a poor college student i wont be going that route any time soon

I have an unpainted stock toyota hood with the scoop, and all parts related to it. Thow me a price. When I went to toyota, they wanted $500 unpainted...but it may have come down.

you can find them on ebay too, but they are a very cheap gauge of metal.

I am also very interested in getting a hood scoop for my 00' 4runner. I checked out parts train and it has a 'guarantee' that all of their products meet or exceed OEM products. Here
Does anybody know if this not a very good buy, because of low price, and should I go a different route?? Thanks for anyone's help
