What kind of spot lights do you use on your plate/tube bumper?
Hey guys I'm slowly wrapping up my front bumper build and I have two 4" round holes to fill up.I'm looking for something that will withstand going through water crossings and such.
I was thinking about picking up 2x 4" hid spot lights for the bumper an 2x 7" spots for the top.Something like these:
Shoreline 4x4 | Shorelineimports | HID Driving Lights | HID Lights | LED Work Lights | Solar panels Camping
Buddy of mine has them on his ranger and they've been working well for him.
Not looking to pay more then 200$ for the pair though...
Let me know what you guys run or recommend.

I would recommend the Rigid Industries LED Dually spot pair. They are LED, so low power consumption, they have great light output, and they are only about $200 for the pair. They are also water proof and are almost indestructible. No glass lenses to shatter.

^^^ those are nice lights too.
I'm using the 4" PIAA Crystal Ions. Very nice lights, same price (~$200).

Arn't the rigids all square? I know a guy that has rigids and he has moisture build up in them and my buddy with the hid "kragen" style lights has none of those issues and we ve put them under water a few times.Maybe just a defective set... Im looking for something round to fit my bumper holes.

I'm willing to bet the 4" Kragen HID's have far more light output then the Rigid's as well. I was very underwhelmed with the light output of the Rigid 30" compared to my 50w HID's. Lotta money for what ... new tech?

I've got cheap Vision-X lights in my ODL bumper and they do the job, for now. If money weren't an issue, I'd go LED. They consume less power (can use them with the engine off longer and it's just better in general) and they last longer (assuming the housings are built well).

i only use PIAA or IPF lights, but my preference is PIAA imo the best lights on the market, and the have been race proven for over 20 years in every type of racking from 24hr endurance racing to baja to rally racing and are still the standard in those races

For a "round" traditional light, my vote goes with Lightforce or FYRLYT. Awesome lights.....

The Kragens work good, the mounts are the only down side, but for a 4Runner I dont see them being a problem. Make sure you check the depth on them to see if they clear the grill. I had to redrill holes for them to clear on my ARB bumper, compared to the lightforce, and hellas.
Also to I like the light color of the HID over the Halogens.
I just sold my Kragens, and went with two 20" single row Cree 10w LED bars. Says its right under 29,000 lumens, which is roughly 9 Kragen hid's haha.

Sounds cool, do you have any pics of the light bar set-up?

Not yet, still waiting for them to arrive. They should be here by this
Monday the latest. But trust me I'll have pictures up. I wanted something brighter then my buddies double stack Rigid 20" and cheaper. So hopefully this does the trick.

I've heard nothing but good things about Lightforces. I have two sets of PIAA's and love them.
