Took the plasti dip off today with a pressure washer. It was a pita. But when it was all gone I sprayed black bed liner on. Plasti Dip update-img_3076-jpg

Also washed the engine bay with the pressure washer. There was some mud caked on the headers.

Also painted the rear mud flaps. I didn't feel like taking the rear bumpers off so I just painted with them on.

With the front bumper off I saw the sexy suspension

I will get finished pics later. It was dark out when I had finally put the front bumper on. Does anyone know if its illegal to leave the bottom plastic part of the front bumper off?

Its not illegal but it will look stupid with the ends of the frame sticking through.

I don't think it's illegal, but I don't know and it probably depends on what state you're running in.

@CenCalifoothill15 removed his, you can see it here in his build thread...

I want to chop the frame stubs back and have a plate come from under the chrome bumper mounts to the bush guard. then put some slits in it for the radiator and have lights put on the plate.

Arrow

Whats up @kmiller93 Sounds like a good idea. I'd like to see what you come up with! It would look a lot better with frame ends cut off for sure.

* Removing the Valance has been beneficial for me, especially when wheeling! Since removing it my approach angle has increased nicely, much more front clearance now. It may not look great aesthetically, however functionality wise it meets my needs for now. It may look stupid to some, but I'd feel pretty lame coming home with my Valance ripped off from crawling, almost ripped off the front bumper along with it last run. This was the most logical thing I could do until I can afford a real bumper.

-Good thing is I could always put it back if I ever need to.

*Back on Topic with "PlastiDip" (love this stuff)
I've used plastidip on many things including my wheels and experienced the same bubbling near the weights too haha, I've dipped my wheels twice now, it lasts a long time, but I eventually used real paint, got tired of the peeling and touching up.

BTW your truck is looking good man! Have a good 1...
