After I put a new one on it started leaking at the smaller boot within about two weeks. But it only leaked a little and hasnt leaked since.
That makes me believe mine will be ok. I think mine leaked due to the "new" angle the CV joint is running at now, due to the lift. This is my thought: The boot was full of grease while the CV joint was running level, and now that it is running at an angle...there is too much grease in the boot. Therefore, the "extra" grease now has been forced out...so, now it should be ok! I wiped off all the grease and since then...we are leak free. At least that's what I hope has happened.
Same issue here, just lifted it and noticed the grease splatter from the cv boot. Sounds like I just need to keep a close eye on it and be ready to replace.
Bringing this thread back from the dead. Just lifted mine, and after about 10 miles of driving, noticed the same as mentioned above. Upon inspection, no rips or tears to the boots, just leaking from the clamped edges, both axles, diff side. Will continue to monitor.
I tore my original inner boots after I lifted, didn't surprise me due to age. Bought some Toyota boot kits from camelback and installed. They tore again. So the second round I stretched the inner boots as many have done, cutting the old boot off and leaving part of the old boot and clamp in place, stretched the new boot over and reclamped. Been about a year and all is well.
My boots tore from the two flutes on the boot closet to the diff rubbing on each other and eventually tearing. The friction will actually wear a channel or groove into the rubber while in rotation to the point that the boot material is so thin that it just gives out and spews that grease everywhere.

I had same exact proble that just happened to me. I went and did the hose clamps and stretched the inner boot out on the axle a bit. Now it's leaking a little from the inside (closest to diff) and hose clamps I've found were too wide, which sux cuz I already cut the clamp. Figured after 220k miles on it they would be ripped or torn, I don't wheel easy, but they look to be in great shape. Has anyone tried hose clamps on the inner part of the boot? All write ups talk about outer part of inner boot.
Also how is everyone's undercarriage and all that stuff so clean? I spent a good 30 mins scrubbing those axles to get all the grease and mud off before I shifted my boots
Afraid I'm looking at the same thing. Front right CV is sprayed with liquid. Not on any of the other wheels. Just had a 3" lift done a month ago.
It is very common for the CV boots to "Burp" a little grease out when lifts are changed, modded, or new CV's (with new boots) are put on. The grease needs to go somewhere as the shaft angle changes inside the CV, and sometimes the easiest route is to just burp a little bit out. As long as the boot is not torn, I wouldn't be too concerned.

From the look of the pic, I'd wager his boot is torn. After a lift, they usually fail one of two ways. The new angle causes strain on an old and less pliable boot and the inside boot tears at the narrow end at the juncture of the thick shoulder that the clamp goes onto and the main part of the boot. The second way they fail is the new angle causes the boots ribs to rub together. When they rub together it creates friction and the boot tears. Analyzing the pic, it looks like his boot tore due to friction between the boot ribs.

I just lifted 2.5 Inches in the front and I've experienced grease come out but in all honesty if you think about it when you increase your angle on the boot obviously it flexes more leaving less actual space for grease to occupy so its logical why that grease would come out. I lost a couple oz like what you describe about 3k miles ago and I've experienced no issues nor noise from my CVs. Knock on wood.
