Ceramic brakes

I recently installed a set of ceramic pads on all three calipers on my motorcycle. I really like them, and no squeal as some are worried about.

Now I need to rebuild my brakes on the '97 T4R SR5. Can someone tell me if there are ceramic brake pads and shoes available for it? How do people feel about these?

Yes, quite a few brands. The OEM front Pads are ceramic but are a bit pricey because you have to buy the shims separately.

Akebono has good ceramic pads and also makes a lot of the Toyota OEM pads.

I personally recommend staying away from the Auto Zone, Gold Duralast ceramic pads as they wear out the rotors.

I put the Wagner Quiet stop ceramics on when I did the tundra brake swap. In fact i have them on all three of our vehicles. They work great and stop fast.

Thanks for the information guys. Just to make sure I understand what you're saying, there are ceramic pads for the front discs. Are there any for the rear drums?

I bought hawk ceramics but my calipers seized so i ended up going centric posi quiet (ceramic) and centric rotors with tundra sw13e calipers. These DO NOT brake as well as my stock calipers with hawk lts pads, but there is no dust. Wish i could have tried the hawk ceamics....
