I'm in the process of swapping a few more LEDs in. I got the ash tray bulb in = perfect!
The transmission shifter, which says uses the same size bulb, is a much larger bulb.
In a 2001 limited, might the size for the transmission shifter bulb be different? It doesn't appear that the same LED will work - the base of the bulb I removed is 2x wider than the #74 base.
I know the chart don't lie, but...
These are the bulbs in question - from left to right (ash tray light, #74 LED, bulb removed from transmission shifter)

A few things I've noticed so far with my 2000: the two 74s behind the climate control panel look like ass with a single LED. Might try one of the 3 LED ones, or find a way to wire a couple strips back there because the hot spots are terrible. Same with the ash tray bulb, the single directional LED doesn't do well in there, and there's a green plastic window that isn't removable. The bulb I got from superbrightleds was too big for the shifter plate bulb and actually broke the bulb holder when I applied moderate pressure, so I've got to replace that, or go with a strip underneath. Got the ECT and rear window switch done too, and the ECT button has a hot spot due to the way the bulb sits off at an angle. So far, not very pleased with the results.

Another thing I forgot. The cigarette lighter ring appears to be a non-removable bulb from the little grey plastic base, which of course shattered from the pressure or me pulling on it with my fingers. The only one so far that has worked fine is the rear window switch.
Thus is the bulb that's given me the lackluster results:

OP/anyone:
For the three gauge bulbs - the chart states to use #24 bulbs, however, in the write up, you used #194 - which one of them would be the right bulb? - or both sizes will fit ?
Also, further in the discussion, it was mentioned that #74 might be used where #24 are required, but - no one confirmed it, can anyone confirm this?
In my case, I need to replace one of the gauge bulbs.
Thanks..

There are no LEDs that look stock at least if your talking about the OEM green like in the gauge cluster.

#24 in the gauge cluster. Autolumination has a variety #24 bulbs with multiple led arrays on them. #74s are way too small.
