Winch just arrived with FedEx. Maybe next week, but fixing A/C is top priority for the moment.

yes this is an old thread, but love the idea...
I dont weld, dont have a "friend" who does. always relied on other family that did but are now miles away ( Im in Alaska, they in Oregon)
wish there was some kind of kit that I could bolt on, or do most of it and then take to have someone do minimal needed welding. Been looking at a smitty 9500...or maybe different...but im on a budget
any ideas ?
Dont want to spend 400 labor someplace..
could also do a hitch mount with a cradle as long as it did not hang lower. one advantage would be to be able to move it to the back if needed or take to another vehicle...so like maybe have the stinger stick out the lower valance ?

kind of answering my own question. seems bodean123 recently did this too in his post....what did you do to your 4runner today.
for those that dont want to add a new bumper, this looks like a nice option and a clean look

how is your 4runner dealing wiht the extra weight, or do you have a different suspension in front ?
Also looks like your light bar is behind your grille...how is that working for you in that location. aside from adding my wench Ill be putting on my light bar that has been sitting in a box for over a year

I have fox suspension in front, and didn’t see a difference
And the bar I like it since I like the “stock” look so can’t even tell that it’s there... lol

while I still like the idea...looks like we take out the main impact bar for the front bumper....so really not much there in a head on

It still has more protection up there than the '96-'98 runners did...
