17x8.5 3.5bs method racing standards. Crappy picture, but I'm really happy with them.

In the future I'd like to get some new rims that are actually black, to match the fact that my 2002 4runner SR5 is black itself. What do a majority of you guys do? Put the tires on yourself or go to a tire place? I've never tried to put a tire on a rim, and I imagine it's quite a *****. Also, I'll be moving to NY, any decent all year round tires/ good for when it snows during the winter?(Seeing as there are blizzards every other day there atm..)
Thanks!
Great Thread btw

I would go to a tire shop. Mounting and balancing usually will come with the price of a set of tires. And there are some great sets of tires for all-seasons. The BFG All-Terrains and Goodyear Duratracs are two good options.

I have the level 8 MK6 in 16" with -10 BS or maybe -8 i don't remember for sure and they're on 265/75/16 duratracs.
@ Amirocassar
I bought my rims off of discount tire direct and had them put on at my local goodyear shop. I wouldn't want to put them on myself it seems like it would be a real pain. and for snow I'd get duratracs but thats just my personal preference, bfg at's and grabber at2's are good in the snow also if you don't want something so aggressive
Here's mine:
yes, it is from my instagram haha

I'm definitely loving all of these ideas! I want black wheels so bad for my black 97 limited. Is there any issue with durability with any of these aftermarket wheels? I see some huge price variance, and I'd love to get into something for under $100 each, but I don't know if that means they're going to fold on me if I'm doing some light to moderate wheeling.
Thanks!
Also, WTF is going on in this picture!? Did no one else notice a puppy being tossed out of the car? There has to be a great story here!

Either he is being trained to be a spotter, or he started whizzing on the guy's lap!
