I'd be very skeptical of it.
160A @ only 1200 rpm, and all that for only $120?
100A I might believe.

Your stock alternator is pretty good. I've run 1000W RMS stereo without issues.

Do the big-3 upgrade and buy a better battery.

would you need to upgrade the alternator for a winch, auxiliary lights and stereo?

Upgrading the alternator will allow you to run more of a load while the enigine is on. upgrading the battery also you to run the a load while the enigine is off but while it drains the battery.

I got two 80 W electric fans for the condenser (mainly used in summer), two pairs of auxiliary lights with the stock alternator. I was just curious about putting a high amp alternator because I feel confident to use all at once in a night, if I wanted to.

You'll use the winch for about 10 -15 min max? If then I think your stock alternator should be fine. Correct me if I am wrong. Also if I use the winch, I will not run the AC or any auxiliary lamps.

How easy to do the big 3- ground thing?
