Pic request 2.5 or 1.5 daystar lift on 265/75/16's

I have looked on google and searched on here can't find any decent shots of a 3rd gen with this setup. I had the daystar setup on my 03 with 265/70/17's and it looked good but the 4th gens sit alot lower then 3rd gens.

I am considering just going with the daystar 1.5 now because I don't want 285's nor do I plan on new springs or struts anytime and for my needs right now a spacer lift is just fine.

Here you go: 265/75/16r w/ daystar 2.5" lift.

The problem I have with this setup is that it will sag over time. I have a decent amount of weight in the back of my runner but it sits an inch lower then the front. You can see the sag here in these two photos

Here is my old ride with 1.5" spacer in the back with 99 tall coils, and a 1" daystar spacer up front, regular coils. Then sitting on 265/75's

hey im looking to do the daystar 1.5" lift cause im getting some rubbing with my 265/75 duratracs on stock 98 coils, which are the second tallest coils next to the 99s by a hair. but im trying to decide if i should go with the 1.5 or the 2.5? they are the same price but i think i would run into more problems with the 2.5 lift. how did you like the 1.5 with 265/75's?

Do you have to compress the front springs/struts to install the 2.5" spacer? Or does it just sit on top of the coil/strut assembly?

Didn't want to start a new thread, so figured I would ask here.

I know I am reviving and old thread here...just wondering if there are more pics of 1.5" or 2.5" daystar lifts with 265/75/16 or 275/70/16...thanks

want the 2.5" but already have 275/70/16 bfg rugged terrains that I just bought and do not want to look too small for the lift...want it to look proportional...thanks

I have a short video walkaround of my truck after I did my lift and got an alignment; it isn't a Daystar lift, but it has ToyTec 2.5in spacers in the front, and Fat Bob's Garage 2.5in spacers in the rear. I have 31x10.5R15 tires which are roughly equivalent to 265/70/R16 tires (those have a diameter of 30.6in vs mine at 31in). The video is below.

thanks that does help a little, I am torn between a 1.5" and 2.5" daystar kit, worried if I go small I will wish I went big, and if I go big worried my tires 275/70/16 will look small, tough decision...3rd world problem I guess

If you get the 2.5in lift, your truck will look roughly the same as mine. I can take more pics of my truck on Friday if you want (the lift settled a tiny bit after driving a few thousand miles). Just let me know if there are any specific angles you want. I know I went through the same decision making process when I was piecing together my lift, so I'm more than willing to help you out.

Yeah you know that would help a lot, a pic so the side of the truck is at 10 o'clock, 12 o'clock, and 2 o'clock position would be awesome, I really would appreciate the pics

I really appreciate the help with those

FWIW: I only got 1.875" of lift in the front with my 2.5" Daystar spacers. I would go with the bigger one.

Not to steal the thread but I am wondering if your fuel mileage suffered much when you put lifts on your vehicles? I want a lift but also don't want to change tire size. I drive about 100km per day and fuel makes a big difference to me!

My gas mileage didn't change at all when I put on the lift. The only thing I did to negatively impact my mileage was a cold air intake (this is coming off soon when I install my turbo kit), and the BFG All-Terrain tires.

Ok, I'll get on that on Friday (might snap them tonight if its not too dark when I get home).
