'00 2wd front brake rotor removal

rotors are warped, i was gonna have turned but can't budge them.

no info in fsm, haynes says it will just fall out after caliper removal. i removed caliper but they are stuck, I hit pretty hard with dead blow hammer but they won't budge.

am i missing something? tips to break free?

Keep beating it with a hammer while spinning it. It will come off.

you can find a bolt that has the same thread pattern as the treads on the hole on the rotor and you should be able to screw them in and that will pull the rotor off the hub.

thanks, i'll keep at it...no need to be gentle anymore, these will get tossed. we're still on OE at 140K miles.

didn't check prices on replacement rotors first but they are cheap! so i won't turn, just r&r. got these for 40 shipped (open box, wrong fit). i use them on my truck and have been very happy.

A dead-blow hammer is probably absorbing too much of the impact. Get a real BFH hammer something 2 lbs or more, and bang on it. I will break free.
