Diff drop need for strut/top plate spacers?

So after reading a comment by someone on here (try to find who it was and tag them later), they said that strut spacers put more stress on then CVs than a regular coil spacer. I will be running a 1 inch spacer on top of the coil (2 inches of lift given). Will this stress them to the point of needing a diff drop? I know that they are usually not needed for a 1-2.5 inch lift. But does this somehow exclude the strut spacers since they extend the entire strut and not just compress the coil? If it matters, these are the front spacers in the Cornfed-Burtman lift. Any advice?

Heres a copy/paste from the lifts writeup...

Cons: Coil spacers can stiffen the ride and prematurely sag the springs. Top plate spacers can over extended shocks, CV, and ball joints

Wait till this weekend.

I'm going to be doing some "stuff" with a diff drop, and I'll post my results up here.

This process will include measurements of angles with and without a diff drop of the CVs, the prop shaft into the front diff, as well as the difference of oil levels.

I'll be looking for it! Thanks Doc. Btw, what type of lift will this be tested on?

This will be tested on my truck.

I have a set of Danahoe Racing(now Icon) Coilovers.

I'm sitting at 39" from the ground to the fender in the front, as of July, and stock height for the '99 is 34.5".

I'll remeasure the height from the ground to the fender tommorow or Saturday when I start working on this.

The thread will be posted by Saturday night, Sunday morning at the latest.

**********EDIT TO ANSWER THE ORGINAL POST****************

****As far as advice to the spacers, I would wait, and do the the suspension right. I.e getting coil overs, The tundra shocks, ect.

Better to do it right the first time, then have to spend more money for something that might give you what you want, but break something or wear something out faster in the process.

Know what I mean?***

I know man. I've got coils for the back and just picked up the spacers in the front until I can find a set of tundra coils and billies.
