42s 2000 Sport on 35's build
I'm gathering parts to do most of it at once.
This will be the build thread for my 2000 Sport 5 speed.
So far I've got:
Front Coilovers (thanks cchark)
Rear 891's (Thanks Jon)
1" Diff Drop
Ext Brake Lines F&R
Bilstein Shocks
Tundra Brake Upgrade
Ramsey 8000K winch
New Steering Rack Bushings
New Sway Bar Bushings
1st Gen 4runner Roll Bar
Camberg UCA's ordered last week.
Plus I've been talking to Outdoor Logic abut a set of bumpers, they are currently working on something for me on their rear bumper.
So the idea is to run 33's at first then move to 35's.
Currently working on getting 4:88's, ARB's F&R and dual cases with 4:7's in the front case.
If there's anything that you see or any of my ideas you see that suck....Let me know. This will be my first 3rd gen.

Looking at your old rigs, I'm expecting big things for this one. Love the K5.

Well it was almost on 40's In the first week I had it I worked a deal for a 44 and a 60 with 5:89's and ARB's, I have a 23 spline dual case set up with 4:7's. I was on my way to link it front and rear and stopped. I really just need something I can DD.
The silver extra cab is alrady a trailer queen on 42's and the K5 is on 38's, 1 ton's with ARB's and a 502 BBC...So I scaled it back

Nice! Your truck is gonna be awesome! I'm sure I'll be meeting you soon enough if you're ever gonna be hitting trails with Jon. I'm gonna need to pick your brain on some SAS stuff as well lol

I'm sure we will. Jon seemed to be a real cool guy, we BS'd for almost an hour when I picked up the springs.
Sure ask anytime

So I looked around on this site for a good place to get a 96-98 grille, and came up with partsgeek. Price was awesome, so I ordered one. It showed up today, and I was a little shocked. The packing was a little .

So I took it in side, but I had a hunch something wasn't right. I think the sound of plastic on plastic was a dead give away as to what was to come.
Yep....it was broken.... With that packaging and it shipping from N.C. to C.A. I never would have thought.
