Tundra 231mm brake upgrade

Just to let everyone know, autozone is having a sale that has free shipping and $50 of purchases over $200, withr he discount code savebig at checkout.

My question is what caliper bolts have you guys been using when upgrading your 3rd gen to tundra brakes? I'm running tundra rims, and just ordered the 231mm calipers and new rotors and pads and was wondering for those of you running new bolts during the install if you bought tundra caliper bolts or new 4runner bolts? Thanks !

You can use the normal 4Runner bolts. No need to buy anything else.

Something interesting I found was that most people say get calipers from a 2005 Tundra, but after looking at Autozone even the 2001 Calipers are offered with the same 231mm same part # and everything. Just thought that was interesting

You know I actually checked to see the same thing, because i had seen a couple different people refer to a couple different years, but like you said they are all the same from 2001-2005, those are the only ones i checked though. Since i'm having to wait on the calipers to come in, I stripped all my emblems and started plastidiping them. should be ready to reinstall tomorrow. But of course I broke the Toyota emblem on the rear hatch $30 later.....

You may want to check Rockauto. THey have a Wagner Mail in rebate. I bought Thermoquiet Ceramics for the 13WL for $17 shipped to my house. I also found I could get higher quality Rotor from them for the same price as the brick and morter stores.

You will love it! One of the best things I have done. The trailer feels so much lighter when I am on the brakes! I ended up changing the rubber brake lines too.
