Help w/ designing my bumper

So my search for a tube bumper hasn't been very successful because I can't really find anything that I like, but I did find this custom fabricator guy on craigslist and the guys work was really nice. We spoke on the phone and now I'm trying to sketch something out. Here is what I have so far. What do you guys think? I'm wanting to mount a winch, and do you guys know where I should put shackle mounts? Any input is awesome.

Hehe, I agree, I have never been a big fan of the huge stingers, though that may because I don't intend to be tipping my 4runner to the point that I would need a stinger, and I think they kind of ruin the look. Just personal preference though.

I, unlike the 2 prunes above me, like the look of stingers. Only within reason though. I think they only look good on pretty overly built rigs. On an average weekend warrior they're kind of overkill and look goofy. If you shortened it then there would be no point to have one cus it can't be used as intended. Grant it, I hope you never flip your rig. No one who ever gets a bumper with stinger truly intends to use it but at the same time you want it to be functional while not lookingstupid on your truck. Good concept, but I say ditch the stinger idea and come up with some other hoop design or at least drop it down a bit. I like the drawing though, you're heading in the right direction at least

I like stingers but I have to say I agree with shortening it a bit. Maybe like 3 or 4" over the hood instead of halfway up the windshield. Also this is more of a thing for when you end up fabricating it, but if you make your stinger narrower than the grill make sure you can fit the lights you want inside if (if thats the look your going for). I know I love the look of some huge circle lights (hella rallye 4000 or lightforce 240s) and you would be pushing it to fit a pair of those inside that stinger.

Unless you're wheeling the piss out of your rig why have the stinger? I had one on my 89 mini with SAS because in case of a roll over I wanted it to act as a pivot point over the hood... the actual reason they were started. Other than that I would make it nice and clean along the hood line. Just my opinon. Also put the D-shackle points inline with the frame rails. It's where they are strongest.
