Decent price for TRD Tundra shock/coil?
I found a set of front 06 Tundra TRD Bilstein 5100's with coils for 180.00 on CL. The add says they have 30k miles on them and they include a 2" spacer. Is this a decnt price to pay? I was thinking of offering the guy 150.00. I'm going to take a look at them tomorrow but I wanted some input from you guys first.

thats a good price, the 5100 alone are worth $220, then the coils are another $200

Just a heads up, those are not 5100 series shocks, there the stock "toyota-bilsteins" that come with the TRD. Also they are not the highly sought after yellow/yellow-yellow/blue coils from the access cab. Just sayin.....

in that case they are worth zero dollars and zero cents to a 4runner owner

Will they fit a 4runner? I was looking at them online tonight? Please let me know.Is this the example you were talking about not to buy? They came off a 4x4 TRD Trundra.

Those are correct. I beleave the OP was referring to an ad in the Orange County craigslist.

If the link provided are the ones the OP was talking about, then he does not need them. Those are not 5100s, and are not adjustable. The coils are not the same that everyone uses for a lift.
If however you do find a set of y/y y/b coils with the stock shocks, they're worth around $100 by now. These are getting old and even if they were taken off with low miles, they've been sitting around and the shocks will start to degrade.

Thanks for the information! I was a little concerned about the paint markings on the coils, they just didn't look right. Plus the seller has been dragging his feet on a time/day to meet so I could see them. I will most definitely pass on them. Thanks again.
