Thinking of selling my 97 4runner, any advice on what to price it at?
I've been thinking of selling my '97 4runner, It just sits in the garage and I hardly ever drive it. I was recently promoted at work and have a company car now, so it's hard to justify keeping it.
What should I price it at? I was thinking in the 6-6.5K range to start, and then go from there. Any advice, good or bad, would be appreciated.
Details:
1997 Desert dune 4runner 3.4/auto/no diff lock, 136k.
fresh oil, coolant, fuel filter, sea foam, etc.
17" American Racing Teflon Mojave's with Pirelli Scorpions. Tires at between 10-12mm tread.
DDM 4500K HID's, Sony CD player, 5% window tint, B&M trans cooler, LED dash conversion.
Powerslot crossdrilled front rotors and Hawk pads done 3k ago.
Truck has a new aftermarket muffler (supposed to be stock, but is a bit louder than stock sound.)
Valve Cover gaskets and T-Case output shaft seal were just done by me, using OE parts.
Timing belt due in about 13k miles.
Toyota plugs and Mishimoto (factory) wires done 3k ago.
This truck is in EXCELLENT condition. Frame rails, rear diff, and other components have VERY minor surface rust. Interior and exterior are IMMACULATE. I recently spent nearly 10 hours doing paint restoration, and it shows. I also have a set of clear headlights, which I'm in the process of doing a 2012 Infiniti M37x projector headlight retrofit on.

Keep it. You want your OWN vehicle, in case something happens to your company car or whatever.
No more wheeling or anything? No more exploring? You're gonna regret it...

I would return my company car and take the money I'm alloted and use it towards buying a nice car of my own. Thinking of an Escalade or something. I've only wheeled the truck once, and it was a blast, but work takes up a ton of my time, and to be honest, I worried more about scratching it or breaking something when I had it off road. I would keep it, but I have a 2.5 car garage and the boat takes up 1.5 spaces in it, and I don't want to leave it sit outside.

Rent a space for it at storage at least for a month and see how it works for you. Free space, cheap rental there. Problem solved and have a very nice extra car.

God forbid, but what if you lose your job? There is almost no such thing as job security anymore. If companies get tight, the first things to go are luxury expenses like company cars.

which is why I said I'm planning on returning my company car, taking the money I'm alloted for it, and using it towards a car I own.
edit: Not to be a dick, but I'm not asking for advice on my financial situation, I'm asking advice on where to price my truck.

Gotta do some research on YOUR local market... that would easily be a $7k+ rig in the PNW.

yes, forgot to mention that. I obviously want to price it high and work my way down from there, but not so high it doesn't get any attention.

ya, seems like they've taken a decent hit on resale lately. Go figure. When I bought it, it was the nicest one I found and the cheapest price.

That's the nice thing about the interwebz, it is available to a larger range of folks. While I agree it's important to know what my local market is priced at, since the truck is very very clean, it might be worth it for somebody to fly out and drive it home for cheaper than they can buy one where they live. Just a thought tho.
