Fresh from ICON Vehicle Dynamics
Feast your eyes on ICONS latest and greatest for the third gen 4runner. I picked up these bad boys from ICON today. They have the new CDC valve which allows you to dial in the stiffness of the shock or coilover. Dial in stiffer for daily driving or soft to suck up the bumps offroad. They have 10 settings. I went with 2.5 remote reservoirs extended travel for front and rear.
I will be using light racing UCA's. I cant wait to get this stuff mounted up.
I am only the second rig to run these. The first they did for overland expedition. I feel like a kid on Christmas morning that has to wait for Dad to put the bike together!!!
Sorry for the so so pics they are off of my phone.
Dave

care share to price? pm me if you want. also do you know the piston size? im curious what the internals on these look like.
im still on the fence about running a setup like this or just going long travel. when you get these on maybe I can meet you in the desert and go for a ride.

I told them the equipment I was running and let them decide on most of the techinical stuff. I got a bit of a good buddy discount so no prices to reveal yet. Sorry. Once I get em mounted up I am happy to meet up and let people test ride it a bit.

Yeah extended front and rear. Not on yet so I am looking forward to floating on the cloud soon. I so tired of my bumpy Old Man Emu set up.

what rear springs are you gonna run with them?
I was looking at getting the rears for soo long but didnt want to spend that money one em. I eneded up doing a custom rear suspension with fox resis and saved some coin.
on the front how did they tell you to mount the resis. towards the front or the rear of the vehicle?

Very nice! I was hoping to get that setup next month...but life stepped in and said "NO!"
Total Choas makes a second shock mount for stock lower arms....with that and the second shock.....it will do some amazing stuff. But the rear end might not keep up. I have talked to those guys about different setups but decided that what you have is the set up.....adding a second shock later. I would like to go for a ride once you get it done. Yes I am jealous! LOL

Dang, those look sweet! I'm very jealous... I'm about to dump a good chunk of change on their extended travel set up with some uca's from Wheelers. I just cant quite get myself to make the plunge for how much I gotta spend. I'm gonna do it but need the push lol.

Well they are going on tommorow. I sure am excited but nervous all at the same time. The mechanic I am using has worked on my rig numerous times but he has never installed remote reservoirs, thus the nervous part. From what I can see you just drill out the frame where you want them to go and it is no biggie.
Comments welcome
Dave

I've always used these. They look clean, and work.

I'm really interested to hear your review. I was looking into the CDC's a while back and might add them to my Donahoe's when I rebuild mine. It seems like a great way to be ready for any terrain and comfort level.

I'm tweakin' over here! Post up some pics of that suspension all set in place!!
That stiffness knob is awesome. Definitely want some reviews once you get wheeling with them.
