Smile Thoughts on which 4runner to buy?

I'm currently deciding between 2000 TOYOTA 4RUNNER LIMITED a 2000 Limited 4runner with the factory locker, or the 1999 Toyota 4 Runner 1999 SR5 without the locker. Basically the same KM's and the 99 is cheaper by $1000 (Canadian dollars). Any thoughts on each of the performance of the cars? Also the looks/colour/leathervscloth seats. Any opinions would be great, thank you

The gearing in the 2000 will be better 4:30 vs 4:10 IIRC. Leather is harder to maintain and not the best quality in the 3rd's so I say go cloth. IF you wheel go with the locker just because you can have a locker factory out of the box and they are sought after. Also under carriage amount of rust will play a huge role. If it was me I would go with the 2000 just because I wheel and I know the cost to install a locker. I would go in at $8,000 and work you're way up from there. It's Craigslist so I'm sure he expects to sell it for lower than posted.

Have you seen the black one in person? Curious as to why the listing doesn't state the 4WD info, and as far as I can tell it doesn't have the 4WD emblem on the back.

With the limited you also get the multi mode, meaning you have an awd mode in addition to the 4wd if I'm not mistaken.

spend the extra to get the e-locker, its worth it if you off-road. Also, as said before, check for rust.
