best headers

What is the best headers?
Iv read doug thorly headers are the best but he's out of business.. any help?
A lot of the searches I did brought up stuff from years ago.

What do you mean they went out of business?

I think you mean Downey Headers which went out of business a few years ago. I had one of the last sets install, at least that was what I was told.

You are correct I meant downey. I'm assuming you like your downey headers, did you get them ceramic coated?

No heat coating, they are just chrome or stainless - I'm not sure which since it is dirty.

I like them a lot, only paid $400 + $100 install for them ... But .. I was getting the engine rebuilt, new heads so the same shop did the work.

Did a little reading last night seems that thorley headers also make the trd ones at least that's what gadget said. I just can't justify the 800 bones for them, guess I'm either saving or doing a lot of eBay/Craig's surfing..
