Shaking steering wheel

Hi All,

I have a 1996 Toy 4Runner. I just replaced new 4 tires and installed 1"3/4 SpiderTrax spacers. Now I am having problem that steering wheel start shaking when it's reaching over 70 mile/hr.

Anyone has any ideas what causing the steering wheel shaking? Does my 4Runner need wheel alignment...?

Thanks,
Tom

Are your spidertrax spacers hub centric or lug centric? Did you install them correctly? Are they torqued properly? Are your tires balanced properly? I don't think spidertrax makes 1.75" spacers for toyotas... typo?

It's got to be a balancing issue. Every time I rotate my tires...the shaky shaky comes back. Just get them balanced as best as you can. What tires did you go with?

Finding someone who has the adapter to balance lugcentric wheels is a *****. This is most likely your issue and it should go away once you get them done properly.
