Added the foam to the back of the trim pieces.
A couple things I did awhile back and didn't mention as part of the black interior.
My black sun visors. They came from newer Volkswagens. The size is perfect, just have to cut off a little of the plastic underneath the mounting point of the sun visor so it will fit flush in the 4runner hole which is under the headliner so its not visible at all. And then just make a new hole in the roof for a screw.
Recovered the arm rest in new vinyl.

Sweet build thread!
I can't believe you painted the whole dash like that. I would love to check it out in person if we ever cross paths. I am up in the OC from time to time.
Earlier you mentioned you can't wax your semi-gloss paint. I don't buy that, not sure who told you that but I disagree. It is actually a good idea for you to wax it several times a year, be the paint gloss, satin or whatever.
I have used SEM satin black trim paint on several parts of my truck (sliders and some trim pieces), also both my front and rear bumpers and satin black.
Sure if you wax it will have a small bit of shine for a few days but it will not become gloss. I have waxed my satin paint multiple times and it helps remove oxidation and preserve the paint. If you go without waxing for long period of time there will be damage from the sun. I actually just waxed my sliders and ARB bumper this weekend. No hard buffing, just simple wax-on, wax-off.

Thanks. And yeah for sure anytime you are in Orange County let me know. I'm in the Huntington Beach area. I don't know how well it will hold up over time but I'll see. I don't think it would be too hard to do little touch ups once in a while. The floor trim pieces will see the most damage and those are easy to remove and repaint if needed.
And yeah the guy at the paint place told me that. I have used like spray on wax on it and its been fine which is what I've read. And that had turned out fine. My hood really needed it the most, and my roof.

I really admire the level of commitment you put into this, especially the interior. The black interior looks amazing.

Thanks. You've put a lot into your truck in a short period of time. One of the quickest builds I've seen. Most are spread out over time and you seemed to knock out everything at once.

Well it's been around only been around a week but the dash is doing good. Im more worried about the kick panels and lower trim front getting kicked and stepped on constantly. And the pieces where the seat belts constantly hit when you take them off. But so far everything is holding up good.

Thank you. And it's pretty simple. It was just like hooking up the remote start from my viper alarm. But it took me a day and half of frustration to install it when I couldn't figure out was wrong. I finally opened the control box up and found that one of the lines of the ignition wires on the circuit board wasnt connected right. So I fixed that and then the wiring was wrong with the instructions. I needed to swap the ignition 1 wire with the ignition 2 wire. But I finally got it working. You get in the car and then when the RFID tag is near the antenna then it beeps twice to let you know the button has power. Press the brake pedal and push the button and it starts. If you don't push the brake pedal then it will cycle through ACC then Accesory power and then off. It works with my viper remote start, if I remote start it I can get in, press the push start button twice to get it on and then press the brake and it will turn the viper remote start off and take over.
The only problem with the remote start takeover is when I turn the car off. To turn the car off normally, you have to press on the brake and then push the button. When I take over the remote start, the push button control module doesn't realize that the engine is running, it only thinks that it's the power on. So to turn it off, the brake pedal doesnt need to pressed because the module thinks its just power on and not the engine. If I press the brake and the button the push button module thinks it needs to start the car so it cranks the starter while trying to shut off the truck at the same time. That's the only issue that I have to think around, for now if I remote start then ill just shut it down and restart the car with the button. I pretty much only use the remote start in the summer when it's hot.
