For those running no sway bar up front
I broke the bracket that holds the sway bar to the frame. I went on a little trail with some nice spots to test out the truck on the rocks. As I was going over an obstacle I heard a loud pop. Thought it was a cv so i took it out of 4x4 and finished up in 2wd + diff lock.
I drive home no problem. After a few days of driving it regularly i started hearing pops going over bumps so i brought it into the garage and put it on stands. I noticed the left side of the bar was not attached to the frame.
I know its not a problem to run without sway bars, and I did just take it out to remedy the problem. However i like taking corners fast and don't want to worry about body roll going high speeds.
I'm wondering if anyone has a spare bracket laying around off their deleted sway bar. I plan on discoing them from now on when on trails.
the first car i had when i was 16 was a 97 3rd gen. i ended up rolling it so i'm a little paranoid about that. how much more prone to rolling are we by removing them? i'm currently at stock height but its definitely planned that i will lift soon.

I may have one laying around the garage. I'll check when I get home. I'm in the Denver area too

[QUOTE=gmv4k;1417020]Or you can get new greaseable bushings with the brackets.
Energy Suspension 9.5161G 1" Greasable Sway Bar Set
Amazon.com: Energy Suspension 9.5161G 1" Greasable Sway Bar Set: Automotive
I have those same bushings on mine. The PO must have installed them, but what I can't figure out is why he didn't replace the wore out end link bushings. They are flat as a pancake now.
