Advice Needed
01 4Runner and a month ago the CEL, VSC, TRAC lights turned on.
I bought a code reader and pulled 1 code, P1135. After reading most info on the forum and other areas appears that most info points to the (AF sensor / upstream), "I think I got the info correct". I purchased a sensor off Ebay from Sparks Toyota last week and waiting for it to arrive.
Yesterday, all 3 lights turned off. I didn't disconnect the battery to reset or clear the lights nor did I use the code reader to clear the codes/lights. Thinking it was just a fluke I drove around yesterday and today putting about 60 miles on the Runner, and the lights remained off. Put gas and tightened gas cap real good and lights still remain off.
Registration is due and I need a smog this year to renew. Since the CEL light and other 2 lights are off should I just go get the smog and hope it passes, or even with all 3 lights off will the Runner still show an error during smog test since the lights were initially on? Or should I still replace the sensor and then get smog done?
Thanks.
