Haha, I will happily delete this thread and you can repost it as your own as I'm sure you have much more info to add right now.

My eventual plan is to associate each part with the part number and where I got it from. I've noticed many of the threads have a list of the parts, but it's hard to know where or what they actual part looks like (particularly the bolts).

Got it off craigslist. Did a entire US search and found it in Pennsylvania. Its going to take some work to get all the parts, but I have some motivations...

There is a section at the end of post 7 on the buyers guide about supercharger general info and upgrades. You can copy all that into here, better place for it.

Thought I'd toss in my S/C experience. I bolted mine on in March and I love it. Nothing incredible but I'm not digging in the low gears anymore. Which was a lot up here in the mountains.

2nd gen TRD supercharger with a big pulley (4-5lb max)

No 7th injector or ECU tune whatsoever. Perfectly safe with the low boost.

Runs smooth through entire RPM range. I can't wait to install my Flowmaster on my open exhaust so that I can here more S/C whine!

Here's a good write up for the 2nd gen DIY rebuild. I plan on following it one day.

Can you breifly discuss tuning options. I'm only familar with tuning for GM LS engines where tuners are using hp tuners or efi live. Would you essentially be doing the same? Finding someone experience with the Toyota 3.4 motor and f/i then they tune it via hp tuners or efi live? Or, do you have to use some sort of stand alone unit?

I'm not too informed on all the tuning options yet, but I will post my experience when I get there. I plan on just adding info to this thread as I find it. I'm not a sc expert at all, but felt the info needed to have one thread for others to look into. I just got back from a trip and will be updating the thread a bit this week with some more info.

@SCRunner12
You mentioned in the original post...

"The TRD thermostat is a 160* and many people recommend running this ONLY if you do a very accurate tune and are trying for maximum performance. Be cautious with this one. You will often see the engine running around 175-180*."

I was just curious, why the need to be extra cautious with the low temp thermostat? Sorry, if it's a stupid question, I know just enough about motors to get by, is it really bad to run at lower temps?

It was me that said it, but potato potahto.

Its because the engine isnt in the optimal running temps at that low of temp range.
