The Taco has a second gen supercharger, 2.2" pulley, 7th injector, headers and an exhaust. I'm curious to see what they makes power-wise.
I tuned mine on the dyno, then finished the tune up on the road to dial it in. Hit my website (link in my sig) to see the details but it made 240RWHP and 259RWTQ on the 2.2" pulley.

Also there is an automotive bolt supplier here in Berkeley that seems to have everything under the sun when it comes to nuts and bolts. Bowlin Equipment Company | Berkeley, CA 94710
I am not sure if they ship stuff out but I would be happy to help ship them to people who need them.

I have a couple throttle brackets. Is it one of these that you need?

Also for the manifold spacer, I am pretty sure you could just use a bunch of washers. I can take a picture of it tomorrow and show you as well as the dipstick relocation bracket, that would be pretty easy to make yourself.

Right on man, yeah thats what I am looking for!
Good to hear that the dip stick is something I could make, I have access to a mig welder at work and some scrap metal so I could probably throw something together. Cant wait to get this thing mounted!

Thought I would just post these here just in case.

This is the manifold spacer. Its that little black tube that goes between that black hook and the supercharger. I'm pretty sure you would be able to just use some heavier duty washers there if you don't have that.

And then this is the dipstick relocation bracket. Its just a simple piece of metal with holes about an inch apart. Should be fairly easy to make.

can anyone give me a rough estimate of what it would cost to get mine supercharged? i want to do it right if i do it so i would do the 7th injection and have a shop install it since i dont want to mess it up at all.
so can anyone give me a breakdown of cost like the supercharger itself, all the other parts, then install cost? i know it could be hard to tell since i would havr to find the supercharger used and i dont know what a good price would be. thanks !

Can you take off your intake yourself? And remove and reinstall less than 10 bolts? If so you can install it yourself. It is not difficult at all. If you are any bit competent I would recommend saving the money and install it yourself.

7th injector is $900. I have yet to install that, but this seems to be more work than the supercharger itself.

Then depending on price of supercharger and if it comes with everything you need. It's really hard to give you a price because it depends if it comes with all the parts. If you need the pulley and bracket then that's $260. If you're missing the throttle bracket or some other miscellaneous things you might have to get the install kit which is $160. A new supercharger belt is $10 and I would recommend a new intake gasket while you are at it which is like $8. Throttle body gasket which is another $8.

I'm curious if anyone has had problems running the supercharger with the IK22 plugs but without the 7th injector? I replaced the plugs with the IK22's at the same time as installing the supercharger and had been getting continuous misfires that I had to keep clearing constantly. Then last week I took the plugs out and put back in my old ones that only had a few thousand miles on them and haven't had any misfires since.

I feel like there is a lot of talk about the URD 7th injector for tuning, but no one really mentions you need other electronics to tune the truck with this kit. I suggest reading these for what is involved in tuning using the 7th injector from URD:

http://www.gadgetonline.com/U-Tune.pdf

http://www.gadgetonline.com/u-tune-aic.pdf

From the first link (page 4), to tune in closed loop you need an OBDII interface. And to tune in open loop you need a wideband O2 sensor and controller to monitor air/fuel ratios. So there is more you need to buy to tune than the piggyback computer that comes in the URD 7th injector kit. Also thanks to @BigFishAllDay for PMs that he sent me regarding this.

Just another thing to consider for people who want to supercharge.

^True but, from my understand you don't NEED to do additional tuning with the 7th injector. Obviously those are interested in absolute maximum performance or running a 2.1 pulley and are closer to sea level may want to consider additional tuning but more 95% of people buying a 7th injector should be able to install it and have no reason to do any additional tuning.

again just my opinion from what I've read on URDs website as well as various information ive read elsewhere.

I really hate asking this because I know its probably been brought up but there is so many opinions and misinformation out that I really cant weed through it all.

So my question is: I live in Florida (Sea Level) and im looking into getting a 2nd gen charger. Would I be required to have any aftermarket fuel (URD 7th) changes to run the charger stock like it came from Toyota. My truck has 150k on it so I just wanted to get some opinions from people on this thread directly.

Thanks guys!

Good point, the URD computer comes with a base map loaded onto it so that the truck will run, i.e. it doesn't need tuning. But I think making some adjustment to the base map would be beneficial regardless. Although I haven't installed my kit yet, so I'm just guessing here. I have read that it requires little adjustment for some trucks to run well. I'll see what adjustment is necessary when my kit goes on and post info here.

I don't know this for sure, but most likely you will get ping if you just throw the supercharger on. Plan for fuel mods just in case.
