Tacoma hub conversion

I have a 99 4runner that i would like to swap some manual hubs and just looking into what year Tacoma do i look for and what needs to be change in order to make it work on the 4runner.i found a set out of a 95.5 Tacoma but would like to get your suggestion and advice on which way to go,how about ABS tone ring did they come on early Tacoma?i know my 99 3rd gen. came with ABS.thanks in advance guys.

You can swap the HUBS into the Runner spindle, or just change it all out.

ABS is kept by swapping it all into the Runner Spindle.

CV shafts

Hey Doc thanks for sharing,my next question would be,do i need the CV shafts from the Tacoma too. If the knuckle i'm buying comes with a ABS tone ring do i need to i still swap my 4runner hubs on the Tacoma knuckle?

Yes, you need manual shafts.

Idk about the abs I'm about to get rid of mine all together, when I have a free weekend.

I don't think 95.5 Tacomas had ABS. If you want to keep your ABS you will have to swap everything over into your Runner spindles and keep the ABS ring..

Abs

I texted the guy with the knuckles and he said that his Tacoma have ABS,does this mean i can use the entire knuckle w/out doing the hub swap?about the CV shafts will there be any mod on the diff.side of the flanges?Thanks for all your advice guys.

If it has ABS just swap the entire spindle.It will be a lot quicker. No mod on the axles, just get the manual axles.

Now what?

I finally got the parts needed to do the swap,could someone tell me what i need to replace and maybe pics would be nice.i know there is a tool needed to tighten the locknut.the front hubs did not have the ABS maybe he got rear only.Here it is in the back of my 60.
