Flexing at night...
Well the time has come to change springs in the back. Thanks to Kraze and a few beers and pizza. This was the end result of today's work. Last pic is of Kraze's truck with the 8 wraps. It is TALL, and yes those or 35's also.

Couple things to note. The '99 tall coils, when uncompressed, are actually a good amount taller than the 906's, but we were still able to gain a solid 2 inches of lift, even though the 906's had been on my 4runner for 100k+ miles.
In a pinch, a 4th gen OE style replacement shock actually works pretty well with 906's.
This job was probably more of an 18 pack job than a 12 pack job, but we still managed.
And Deer Springs has way too many spiders at night!

Not SAS'd. Not supercharged. Not dual cased. Not on 37s. Not good enough.
Just read through the story, makes me think of a similar experience I had. After having done some trimming, I went to a large dirt mound to test everything out. It ended up sputtering and dying and wouldn't crank over. I threw it in neutral and rolled it down the hill, tried to start it up again and it worked. I finally realized what happened, but at least now I know not to go wheeling with less than a quarter tank!
