I like the blue. Good choice on sliders, Roy makes incredible products!

Lol, I actually think the blue is bad ass. Is that an FJ color?
I'm actually looking at those exact tires for my rig. What size (measurements) did you end up going with? I'm thinking about 32's but you said you had 33's?

man, I wish you were around when I was trying to decide what color to paint mine, this would've been a deal breaker, probly would've gone with the blue had I seen your truck

It's nice to know there are other odd colored blue 4runners out there. Mine definitely isn't the voodoo blue of the FJ's. I've parked next to one and they are a little different. It is closer to whatever color Ford paints the mustangs.
Hopefully I get a shock soon. Spring break is in a week and a half...

Yeah, I don't really mind. All the school districts here pick either the week before or after Easter. As long as I get a week with no students and no grading I'm happy.

Look what brown santa brought me today
The big questions now are, when will I ever get time to paint them and weld them on? And when will my shocks come in?

So my Tundra 5100's finally showed up this past wednesday. I got them installed Friday and what a difference. I much prefer them to the OME shocks that were on there before.
New:
Old:
My only complaint is that I have them on the lowest setting, which I thought would give me the same ride height as before. If I was really smart I would have taken before and after measurements, but I didn't. I can always adjust them later. Thankfully I've got a window unit in my garage. 106* today.
Now that school is out and I don't have to go back to work till August I finally painted my sliders, but they won't get welded on till I get back from Lake Tahoe. The only bad part about Tahoe is that we're taking the Prius, not the 4runner. Oh well.
Other than that things are good. I've noticed some of the rubber chunking out of my treadwrights. Does this look normal to anyone? It's just on the outside edge of the tires.
Lastly I don't know what is next on the list for the rig. I'm thinking a front skid plate since I have none, but new uca's would also be nice to get some caster back. Plus my upper ball joint boots are cracked. I've never seen anyone's ubj's fail but you never know.

Good to know.
So I think the plan is a front skid next. I really like the savage skid but I haven't looked around much. Any thoughts? The other ones I've seen are bud build and ryno all terrain. Looks like I've got some homework.
After than I'm not so sure. I need new rear lower links, one is slightly bend but no abnormal tread wear and it tracks straight.
There is a group buy on the new addicted bumper but I don't know if I'm ready for that one yet. I'd love to hear some thoughts.
Also since I'm out till august anyone up for a corral canyon run?

Agree w/skids before bumper- the underside will likely see more bumps and bruises first, at least, more potentially damaging bumps and bruises first.
Deciding what to put where and in what order is tough, and then there's deciding which one on top of that. Oh yeah, and then throw the budget or lack thereof in the mix too. Stupid lack thereof!

Chunking will happen. You can reduce it by airing down more and avoiding wheelspin, but it'll happen. I wouldn't blame the tires.

Good to know. I should invest into a better compressor then. More homework.
