got rear ended, frame bent, totaled?
the trailer hitch is like 6 inches lower now, where the hitch bolts to the frame is buckled/ bent. is that an automatic totaling or will they fix that?

Nah, that's done. If it's bent that bad, you'll need a whole new frame. With the frame bending, a lot more things become damaged and need fixing.

If its drivable i would go down ad get a quote on the cost of repair and then compare it to the blue book value. If repair is more than its worth its totaled. But I'm gonna assume its totaled.

It'll be totaled, but is fixable, just would take time and a welder.

any friends with a body shop? heat that sucker up and bend it back straight, then weld some support gussets on it, good as new, but any insurance adjuster is gonna total it, likely.

i've been told by a buddy who works in a shop, that if there's any more than a 2* bend, that it's pretty much totaled...
but that's just what i'm told

My 4runner when my grandma owned it (I own it now) was rear ended and the frame was bent. She got it fixed by toyota with all original parts. That can be an option. But expensive. lol
