few concerns, need advice

I'm curious if my engine temp is normal, it was 32 degrees out. It usually stays right below the half mark. Also my car idlles between 1000-1500 rpms at a nice steady idle. At cold start it idles higher. Is that normal ?

also I notice on the oil pan, around the oil drain bolt and around rear ac/heat lines some oil. But it looks dirty. Blackish. I check the dipstick multiple times and the oil seems to be where it has been since I changed it. Although I had a bad valve cover gaskets for long time and there is some sludge around the motor. I cleaned a lot but not where I can't reach. Idk from where it can be coming from or if it's old oil, or rain mixing with old oil and dripping down. It doesn't look like tranny oil because it's motor oil color but dirty looking. Should I clean it very very well with engine degreaser Nd see if it shows up again ?

Temp Looks normal to me.

With 176k miles. There are bound to be some oil sepage. Small amount of oil loss won't register on dipstick. Unless its physically dripping. What you can do is retorque the bolts thu can come loose over time since they aren't ment to be torqued down hard.

I haven't been in cold weather really with my T4R, but are you sure it was fully warmed up? It should stay about half way. And your idle is to high if its at 1000, in your pic its about 600, that's normal idle. Yes, get some degreaser and clean it all off. You can't find a leak very easily on a filthy engine.

Wow I'm stupid. I misread the rpm odometer. It idles at 600 when warm but when u start it in morning when it's cold its at like 1000-1500. I'm sure it was fully warmed up because I was driving on highway for 30,min. Isnt it true that to cold of engine temp is bad ? What bolts should I retourqe ? Any way of checking if rear engine seal is bad ?

That's where my temp sits even on a warmer day on the highway.
