Great idea for the thread and thanks for putting it together!

I do want to talk about the point below

NO! Having HID's in halogen housings is similar to driving around with your brights on all the time. You will be blinding everyone on the road and its just inconsiderate.
I don't agree with this 100%. I do agree that a projector is a much much better way of running a HID bulb but they can be installed in Halogen housings if you do the correct setup.

I ran a 35w Hi/Lo setup with the bulb cutoff sheilds for about 4 years before i did a projector retrofit. Not once did i get flashed and i have been in other vehicles and had my truck behind me and pass me going the opposite way and i never felt like it was overly bright or blinding.

Like i said, A retrofit is a much better way of going but i think the blanket statement of "all HID bulbs in halogen housings are blinding and dangerous" isn't true. As long as you stick to a 35w kit with cutoff sheilds and have your headlights properly aimed, you won't be blinding people.

Not sure how long these have been out, but I just got an email today from DDM about their retrofit projectors. Any thoughts on these?

Those last pics look sick MTD!

If anyone is interested in a pair of barely used Phillips OEM bulbs for half off TRS cost please PM me. I have the receipt and they are still under the 2 year warranty.

Finally bought everything. I got the Mini H1 Kit from TRS along with everything else from the controller to HID's. I paid around ~$250 for everything with a 20% off promotion for Memorial Day. Received it Friday and installed on Saturday along with DEPO clear corners from eBay.

4500k bulbs. They look yellow in the pics but they're pure white at night. I went for most visible light output over bluish HID's. Honestly, I can't recommend it enough. The headlight output before this was horrible. I've only owned the car for since February and I couldn't stand it anymore.

I just ordered a set of the new Morimoto Mini D2S 4.0 projectors. The current plan is to put together a new retrofit with Amber Halos. I plan on selling either the new retrofit or my current FX-R retrofit when this is all done.

Brian, I'd love to see your exact parts order if you care to share. Sounds like exactly what I'd like to do.

Sure. Below is what I ordered. I used the 15% xmaslights code which ended last night. You can also do the group buy on TW for up to 25% off or wait until new years for the new year's code which will likely be 10-20%.

The first thing I recommend is creating an account at TRS and a shopping cart. Then they will have your email and forward you the discount codes as they roll in. Alternatively just look at their Facebook page on 31st for the code.
