Sorry for my ignorance but I am not experienced at all in working on cars and from what I've seen and read, most people have to DIY build these projector retrofit.

So it's just a matter of removing the stock headlight assembly and putting the new one back in, no other mods necessary like maybe wiring harness etc.?

Hi they are complete headlights with a morimoto wiring harness. The relay harness is what powers the LED Drivers for the projectors inside your new headlights. It will hook up to your batteries positive terminal as well as your driver side H4 oem headlight plug. Then behind each headlight you will need to remove/scratch off paint to screw down a ground screw location. After that, the rest is plug and play. We provide 7 days a week assistance direct on our social media pages via their DM and messaging features.
Not many know but our cars are a ground switched system. And also that we have 4 different wiring possibilities of our H4 plugs. 96-97, 98-00, 00.5-02 and DRL cars. one of the 3 main ones requires a de-pinning of the H4 harness, but it is a super simple task. Why toyota went with a negative switched high beam trigger is beyond us.

My 1st-gen Tundra is ground-switched; unfortunately my 4Runner isn't but I figured out a way to run a standard harness by tapping into the DRL relay (although I bypassed the actual DRL function many years ago)

Very good work brotha! The Tundra/Sequoia def work with standard h4 harnesses. However we have yet to find an affordable/generic (not that the motocontrol is expensive per say) and reliable harness that works with 3rd gen 4runners thats plug and play. And also reliable. Years ago when we began to offer our services we started with affordable/generic parts to get prices low. As we had issue after issue to deal with I made the choice to only use the most reliable stuff. Saved us thousands a year in warranty work, return shipping etc. Sure we dont sell $300.00 retrofits, but we are more than likely the most fairly priced company using higher end components.
Also we plan to be helping out other builders as soon as the world allows us by providing our own line of projectors and complete build kits. We spent a ton of money having our own Bi-LED projector setup designed after years of installing morimoto, nhk etc. Just really sucked that Corona Virus has put everything to a halt. We used a "Neutral White" LED system vs a "Cool white" thats used by everyone else which we felt was too blue for bad weather conditions. We also retained use of a much smaller and removable install stem for the beginner retrofitters, vs the massive D2s tube size of the Morimoto Bi-LED v2.0. And then we had that install stem cantered upwards to allow 3rd gen 4runners and many other reflector bowl platforms to not need as much vertical adjustment and shroud trimmer.
Here are some output shots of them from customers

Retrofitting LED Projectors
Hello all, has anyone retrofitted the Bi-LED: Morimoto M LED 2.0 projectors into a 3rd gen? Bi-LED: Morimoto M LED 2.0 Bi-LED Projectors | TRS PR352
I'm tackling this project so if anyone has installed these or some similar I'd be glad of any tips.
Thanks in advance.

To follow up on my last post, here are 3 photos from the Innovited H1 bulb/relay wiring manual. Believe the Bi Xenon HID Kit diagram applies to me.

Hello, I am new here and want to ask you guys that are more knowledgeable on the subject of headlights assembly;
I own 96 limited and 2 months ago a purchase 2002 DEPO headlights assembly for my 96 and everything went perfect put new halogen bulb and wait for the night to try them, night time came i turn on the lights.
The light cut off or light distribution was horrible, don't get wrong it was brighter than the 96, but the light distribution or beam pattern was bad, a lot of distortion.
2 week's ago I went to my local junkyard and found me nice pair 01 headlights ( OEM ) no scratches, no rust, no deformity just perfect, purchase the used good condition OEM headlights for $80 and installed them on my runner, night comes and the same history as my depo, horrible light distribution as well.
3 day's ago I installed the old 96 headlights back and the lights beam distribution was perfect, ( normal ) no more uneven light, off course not as perfect as a HID retrofit but still the light cut off or distribution was better.
So 96 to 98 headlights assembly had better lighting distribution and less distortion that the 99 to 02 headlights ??
Again, 99 to 02 are brighter tha the 96 to 98 but seems like 96 to 98 have a even light distribution or pattern !?
Or just I was unlucky and both of my 02 DEPO and 01 OEM where defected or the 99 to 02 are just a good example of the natural of the beast and there is nothing that can't do about it ??
I know you'll will say ( just go retrofit ) and that would be a good idea and I probably would do it in the future.
I appreciate any explanation.

Aftermarket lights are a bit of a challenge. I’ve swapped several 3rd gen Dodge Ram housings……man what a headache it is to get a set that does what it’s supposed to.
Looking back, i wished I had ponied up the 500$ and just did an OEM. The Depo CAPA lights I bought are good, worlds better than the previous 2 sets of aftermarket junk. But they aren’t quite to the OEM made in Mexico my originals were.
My 99’ 4runner lights are coming apart on the inside. I bought a Toyota glass lens exact OEM set of headlights lights (and tail lights) they are in the garage, and probably getting installed this week as soon as I get my valve covers and timing belt buttoned back up.
Don’t fight it. Just get OEM lenses and some really nice bulbs like silver stars or some other high end halogen. More coin but certainly worth it as it seems with lights you get exactly what you pay for.
I keep looking at projector retrofits. I want them, but I’m scared. Everyone I know has had all kinds of issues that have done retrofits. Power issues, harnesses melting. Lenses getting moisture, ballasts, etc.
I wished Morimoto made a set of Led replacement housings. I’d gladly pay the $1k+ for them things on both of my personal rigs.
