Morimoto mini H1 or D2S?

After seeing the HID retrofit threads pop up and realizing there is a group buy on Tacoma World I think its finally time I did this. I've read over some of the content on the retrofit source site but still am unclear as to the advantages of D2S over H1s or vice versa.

I'm just looking for simple to install and fairly cheap for what it is. I don't care for halos or large shrouds. I just want something that's not too busy.

So far I was leaning towards the D2S 3five 35w ballasts with 3five 35w 4300k hids and Apollo 2.0 shrouds. The Iris shrouds may be a possibility but I think they may be just a little too plain after its all done.

I want shrouds that wont need to be modified. Are the ones I have listed a good choice for ease of installation?

I do have tools for modifying the housings but this is one of those times where I just want something to go easily together. I have so many projects going on that I want something to be easy and relatively quick. Yeah I know

I just did mine the other weekend. Morimoto Mini stage 3 D2S with Bullet shroud. Had to trim the bottom of the shroud a little bit. Had the 50w ballast that is nice and bright but couldn't get it to start up reliably. Just have to trim two little tads on the inside of the headlight.

Here's a discussion of them.
Morimoto Mini H1 vs Mini D2S?

This link has output shots.
Bi-Xenon Output Comparison: TL, E55, Murano, FX, IS, e46,LR3

I think the d2s looks better, it doesn't appear as bright but has a more uniform output.

Ok so I like the D2S kit but a couple more questions.

Ballast: Morimoto or should I opt for the Denso's? I saw a few ppl had issues with the morimotos.

Which bulbs actually appear white 4300k or 5000k?

I should have got the Denso. Not saying the Marimoto are bad but if you get the kit $50 more isn't bad.
