front suspension upgrade/lift question/advice

I have a 99 4-runner on a 2 1/2 inch leaveling kit with 275/70/18 dura trac tires. I am looking to upgrade the front suspension while keeping the spacers in place if possible just to make things easy. I plan on new struts and springs while adding an additional inch lift. The question I have is what should I purchase at a reasonable price if I am looking to have a little more off road capeability than the spacer kit offers. Also what else do i need to do to protect my steering. (I know theres something i heard like drop spacers? sorry I dont have alot of knowledge with lifts)

There are a few affordable options... Bilstein shocks with Eibach springs and the OME spring/shock packages ... Just depends on how much money you wanna spend... Check out ToyTec they have many options to scroll through

You can add to the spacers, problem is you don't want to exceed 3" of total lift over stock. It puts too much stress on your front end. If you leave the spacers just replace with stock springs and shocks. I would ditch the spacers and do a full 3" suspension lift, Toytec.com is a good place to look.
