My shocks needed some paint, so I found some matching mustard.
Here's the other side that had the rock chips

Waiting for parts just kills me. I want to lift my truck badly, but have to have patience for my parts to come in. I ordered the adjustable rear panhard bar from ToyTec and just waiting for my friend to get my front struts from OME.
Sorry, just needed to vent for a moment. I was just going to buy the Tundra 5100 Bilstein, but read they feel like $hi+ for the ride. Anybody that had this combo confirm this? Well all you T4R owners have a good day.

So I've been out of service and trying to do small things and this is what I've been tinkering with. Put my lift on hold because I'm doing this first. All parts are Genuine Toyota except the grille. I hate trying to make it fit, (OCD) some parts of the grille doesn't fit smoothly. I might end up getting a Genuine grille as well. It's not on the truck yet, (doctors orders) but it's will. I painted the hood with spray can cuz I wanted to see just because. Kinds good because, by the time I recover the pieces will be done from the paint shop

So I did the Tacoma Conversion 2 nights ago and did have to modify some small things to make it work. Everything else bolted up.
The hardest parts was 2 things:
1st was taking off the core support. Not only do you have to take the spot welds, but you also have to pry apart the glue that bonds the metal together.
2nd was adapting the 4runner Limited flares to the Tacoma fenders. The Tacoma fenders have a higher arch than the 4runner. I used the 4runner wheel well plastics.
The things that had to be modified:
Under the front L wheel well is a canister that has 2 bolts holding it to the wheel well and the core support. The bolt that is bolted to the core support is longer than the hold that is already there. So I just drilled and put a nut and bolt to HD in place.
Another thing that had to just relocate was the L horn. The 4runner core support comes with a nut welded to the support. The Tacoma doesn't. There is a hole by where the 4runner support is, so I just put a nut on the other side and tighten it. I also used the 04 Tacoma horns. The 4runner horns were wimpy and the Tacoma ones have the actual horn looking horns. They also have a better sound.
I always like the look of the Tacoma front and I am glad I got the chance to do it.

There is one last thing I'm fussing with, the brackets that hold the tail of the bumper and the side front of the fenders.
The Tacoma brackets hold the fenders perfectly but are to short to hold the bumper.
The 4runner brackets are perfect for the bumper, but the hole for the Tacoma fenders is lower.
So my final decision is going with the 4runner brackets, but I will have to drill a hole in it to hold the side front of the fenders.
