High tide was at noon in Westport,WA so we went crabbing for four hours and then went to the beach down the road to do some night razor clamming at low tide at 7pm. My brother in law and I watched the sun set and watched the moon rise.

Finally received my long spline front driveshaft from Drivelines NW, Inc. I didn’t realize the flange on the backside of the t-case is 60mm x 60mm. The flange on the back of the 85 shaft is 60mm x 68.3mm. I went to my extra 5speed t-case and removed both front and rear flanges to see if the splines was the same. It is and the rear flange is 66mm x 66mm with a 11mm hole. I took the rear flange and drilled 4 10mm holes for a 60mm x 68mm pattern. Didn’t have to spend money on a triple drilled flange.

Finished installing my Baja rock lights (4) on my Sherpa Matterhorn rack and my Infinite Offroad 12watt extra large Shadow Reaper RGB+W Rock Light Kit. I only ordered 4 for all wheel wells. I think I’m going to order 8 of the 6watt magnetic ones. These lights are bright!

Nothing to do with the truck, but I went to San Antonio to watch my sons graduation from boot camp for the Airforce @Lackland. He graduated with honors and was 4th out of 50 in his unit. Because of Covid-19, the graduating class doesn’t have the traditional ceremonies like the past. He graduated on Thursday, December 9th and could only spend time with us till 2000 because he had to be shipped out the next morning at 0200 to tech school up north Texas.
My family and I stayed all the way till Saturday December 11 and I only saw one Toyota Tundra that was semi built for overlanding. The rest of the trucks I saw was all American made with big high lifts. It was my first time in Texas and I enjoyed going to the Alamo, Riverwalk, etc.
Anyway, here’s a picture of my son on his first day on the job today and the picture of the Tundra I saw. The last picture just so happened to be in the front of the Tundra

Something to share if you have Reservoir shocks. My rear Fox shocks came with a clamp from fox that holds the reservoir to the shock, but my front shocks came with a rubber spacer and two clamps to hold it together.

Now this is a thing I learned back home in HAWAII when I used to have a Hot Import Race/Car show 95 Honda Hatch w/a JDM TYPE R block running10’s in the mid 90’s. Street legal, full interior with a 150 shot of dual stage Nitrous. I competed in Hawaii’s Fastest Streetcar Shootout in 97 and took 3rd in that event.

The clamp is covered in heat shrinking wrap. I know it’s stainless, but it’s on to prevent the stainless from scratching the reservoir. It’s the little things. I just wanted to share. Alojah people and have a safe and blessed rest of the year. My 98 Limited

Took the truck in the mountains to do a shakedown run. Truck did good in the snow and stuff. Was wheeling in about 3 feet of snow on the top of the mountain. It would of been deeper if it didn’t rain all last week. I only took pictures coming down the mountain because I didn’t have the proper gear to jump in the deep snow and I didn’t feel like being wet.

Fixed my drivers seatbelt because it was fraying a lot. I cut off the frayed part and it immediately started fraying again and it was getting hard to move the buckle up and down. I found one local to me for $20 and in great shape. Also not stained or molded. Here’s a picture of the frayed part.

So I went back to skool to finish my projects that I didn’t finish. Since I had my rear water pressurized tank made by WaterPort. I got it in 2016 when they first got started. I got it a few days prior to the Northwest Overland Rally in June of 2016. It came with a D clamp and it was meant to be strapped to the frame or there was a bracket that was offered to mount on the frontside of the bed. I didn’t know better at the time, so I went to Lowes and looked for a bracket to mount my tank. A 4x4 wood bracket was the closest thing that I made work and it held up during wheeling and daily use. I finally made a bracket out of 6061 Aluminum. The flat D bracket is about 8 inches long and an inch wide. I notched the 1.5 aluminum bracket an inch wide to sit in while being tightened. I might make another set with revisions. The one I made looks good and works.

The old

The new
