Need help fixing rear hatch issues.

**update, I've come to the conclusion that movable arms that connect to the window are too rusted and brittle to be worth re-using. I may just put a block of wood in there to prevent the window from moving and look for a replacement door. The door is getting pretty rusty in a few spots so that might be my best bet. Any idea how much these go for at a wreckers?**

Hi there, I just spent a while reading through some threads about this, which helped, but it turns out I have a few issues I haven't read about.

My rear window does not work (hasn't since I got the truck 5 years ago) and it sits crooked. I FINALLY got around to opening it all up, to discover that 3 of the 4 bolts holding the 2 window brackets to the moving mechanism have snapped from rust. If I replace these 3 bolts the window will at the very least not sit crooked, and let in water and snow.

1) My first question is, what is the best way of manually lowering the rear window to give me access to these brackets?

2) Question two is, once I fix these brackets, what is my best bet for tracking down why no power is getting to the unit. (ie. checking for broken wires, busted relays, fuses, etc.)

my rear wiper works normally, but my rear dome light does not, and I'm not sure about rear defrost.

I am a carpenter and would really love to get the rear window working so I can throw some big lumber out the back! Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
