heater servo fix

Had the #2 heater servo strip out and no heat. All i heard was clicking under the dash. After checking prices on new and used i pulled it apart and started looking at a way to fix it. The gear only turns 90 degrees so i came up with a plan. There are two gold colored electrical conectors (brush type). One has 5 fingers on it and one has 6 fingers. Both are held in place by the plactic melted over the slightly. First i marked them 5 and 6. Then i shaved the plastic off them and removed them. Next drill small...very small holes where the plastic was melted down. Put five finger connector on mark 6 and vise versa. Use small screws to reattach them. Clock the gear over 180 degrees and reasemble the servo. Install and it should work great. Had to pull mine out and adjust the arm back just slightly. Sorry i didnt take pictures but mine is working flawless now. If you dont feel comfortable doing it i could possibly do it for you for a nominal fee plus shipping. Hope this helps someone fix theirs. If i do another one i will post pictures.

The gold brush connectors are on the gear itself. Forgot the say that. Whole project took me about 45 mins.
