Quick question that you probably have already answered someplace. If you get one with the swing out, can it be removed? I'd like to run the swing out at times, but other times would rather just run the bumper.

yes, it can.. The swing-out comes by itself.. You have to install it on the spindle. Only thing is if you take it off, the spindle shows.

I honestly don't know if mine could be removed and reinstalled. The fit between the spindle and the brass bushings was insanely tight.

This is the list price for just a bare steel bumper with no tire carrier.

The swing arm can be pulled off but like NateMob said it's a tight fit and may be more trouble than its worth.

Will the Tacoma swing out work on the 4runner bumper? A friend has the swing out from his bumper sitting in his garage so I may just get the bumper and throw on his if it's the same.

That would depend on which bumper the swing arm came off of and how recently he bought it. Some of them a pretty close and could be made to work pretty easily. If you can find out when and what he bought, I could let you know if it will work or not.

If it's too tight to wiggle off the spindle, throw a hi-lift jack under it right by the spindle end and start lifting it off of there. Pretty simple. Just make sure you have someone or something to support it when it comes off! Oh, and a tip: use a towel or something soft in between the jack and the arm to not mess up the paint.

It came off a 2011 Tacoma high clearance bumper, has the spare tire carrier and camping table on it. Was ordered in April 2013.

Is it possible to order the hybrid with a bare swing out? as in bumper with spindle assembly cross bar and lock but nothing else on the swing out? if so would there be a price difference?
