Longer sway bar links on 96 runner

Currently I have my rear sway bar removed and the front attached. I need to get longer links for the front for sure and possibly the rear if I decide to put it back on. Had a little fun on a snowy side hill with the rear bar off. Maybe having it on would have made a difference maybe Not. But I did get me thinking.so I am looking for some opinions on what others are using for longer links and how they are working out. Currently the suspension setup is the toytec ultimate kit set at 3in of lift with 285s.
Thanks in advance

There is absolutely no reason to remove the rear seat bar.

You can fully articulate the rear with the sway bar attached.

No way man! I got a few extra inches of travel with mine removed. Haven't run front or rear sways for a couple years now. I'd never put them back in. The front is the main stability, obviously, it's a lot thicker. If you already have the front out then you will barely notice the rear missing on road driving. I drive a really snakey road to work and it's fine. You'll get used to the body roll just like everyone else did. If you don't like it and it's not worth the extra travel then just put em both back in. Not really worth time or money to modify the setup.

Just my $0.02

Can this be done with the stock length links? Because I would have to compress the rear springs just to attach them with stock length links

I have already put 30k on my runner on and off the road with the rear sway bar off with no problems. I really don't see the need to put the rear back on but have not decided wether or not to pull the front out or just get the longer links and build a set of disconnects.

Sorry man, I reread the post. You will have a noticeable difference in body roll when you disconnect the front. Now fast cornering or quick lane changes with that gone. It takes 5min max to remove the links and if your bushings are tight enough then you can leave the sway bar installed just not connected. Run it like that for a bit and see if you like it.

I suggest taking it somewhere that you can twist up the suspension, measure the distance from tire to fender then remove the sway bar and try it again. you will see the difference.

Be careful getting used to the on road driving. It's not for everybody.

Same suspension setup you have back when I had 33's running no sways. Worth it? YES!

I make longer links that'll work for you. Let me know if you're interested, and here is my thread on them. Tons of people don't run any, and tons of people do run them. It's really a personal preference. I recently sold my jeep which had leaf springs all around. I didn't have sway bars on the front or rear, and loved it. Not much body roll, and stable flying down windy back roads. First thing I did was take them off my 4runner, and after the first trip they were back on the rear. Just something about that much body roll going through turns made my uneasy.

How much longer than stock are your links. You have built what looks to be an excellent product. I may be interested in a set for front and rear in a couple weeks.

Swap your rear links over to the front ones as they are an inch and a bit longer. I took my rear sway bar out a few years ago and don't miss it a bit, and I pull a travel trailer with it too.

I make mine 1" longer than stock. That being said, I can make them any length in 1" increments. Usually, you can go about 2" longer before you'll start having issues. My 1" links have worked fine for me, and everybody else that has bought them.
