if you've got a set of the 5-star rims i'd be interested in them.
any plans for another local get together? i'm new to gen 3 runners, and need ideas where to spend money.

Dude,,,, I've been slowly accumulating the 5 star rim with a 5th for a spare.. I'm in those rims $300 now, and I still have to make them look pretty either with paint or powder coat or line x rims...
I DO have the split 3 spoke and the limited 5 spoke flower style I can sell...
There are so many mods I guess it depends on where your trying to go with your rig,,,
I REALLY WANT TO GET ANOTHER MEET SUPER SOON!!!! Let's get another meet together guys!!

Let's figure out a date that works for people. I'm down for a trip to Hollister as well. I've never been, would love to check it out this summer.

basket ROLA roof rack fabrication - low profile mounts
whoa. finally an update....
so i recently bought a ROLA vortex roof rack... $178 or something... then purchased a cut extension ($40) to extend the rack just a tad... to be exact 2 of the cross bar things.. so this added an approximate 10".... rack stops exactly where my sun roof opens..
i then found someone on craigslist to help with some welding... these racks (in my opinion) for the money are a good buy considering the look which i like very much...
we welded together all the pieces... used a grinder to smooth out the welds and then cut the existing mounts in 1/2 to use as tabs for mounting purposes...
because there were 4 mounts in total... cutting these in 1/2 yielded 8 mounts in total... 4 for each side. i thought this would provide the best support..... but because of the curvature of the roof... it was all wonky and lopsided and was a complete mess... so i just have 2 on each side.. 4 in total... still want to add the others.. or at least 2 to have a total of 6.. 3 on each side but for now its a work in progress.. looking to put a tire up there so i can kill my gas mileage a little bit.. i think it looks cool and i can't wait to put it up there and get a flat and have to take it off but i like to struggle... anyways, here are some pictures.... does anyone have an idea to compensate for the roof curvature?,,,,,,,,,,,

Should have asked me, I would have helped with the welding! And wouldn't have gotten as much splatter :P
I'll be doing a rack much like yours very soon, if you haven't come up with a solution by then, I'll let you know what I figure out!

put the window at an angle, dipping the glass forward in the door, and lifting it out at a 90 degree angle upwards.

Do you remember if there is a way to tighten the glass to where it sits in the track? When I have my window down and close the door it rattles like crazy. Same with big bumps.

So what keeps the glass in place are 2 screws.. I can imagine if they were loose they just need to be tightened.. But because yours is rattling so bad... I would say maybe it got so loose that maybe one of the screws fell out and is probably floating around in the door

sticker bombed wind fairing
been accumulating stickers for dayyyyyyzzzzzz...
been saving up for something big like this sticker bomb i did for my ROLA vortex wind fairing.
haven't put it back on because I'm experimenting with either clear coating it or NEVER WET-ting it...i want to make sure it lasts and doesn't get compromised from weather & such
any suggestions/advice?

1.5" body lift
finally got to my 1.5" body lift from
@ shootmymime
... never did receive the 2 bolts for the steering extension.... so i had to purchase those from a hardware store... that kind of sucked
thanks
@ Konkordmusk
for helping me make quick work of this job... did it in 3 hours.... the day before i helped
@ artemgzn
and it took over 7 hours!!! The benefit of power tools. my goodness. we did have lunch in between though
i sticker bombed the pucks.. yeah i know you won't be able to see them but if you DO look you will see it... it was just for fun as I'm trying out a little JDM sticker bombing theme on my truck. the pan hard bar is next for a sticker bomb after the drop bracket is installed after my lift..... pending black friday, hopefully find a deal.
any ideas to lift the rear tow hitch without flipping and getting an older one that CAN flip?..
i was think of unbolting it, modifying it so that it sits higher but still uses the factory bolts.... which seems impossible without cutting the heck out of that thick metal
