Damn nice X-mas gift Sean!

In this cooler weather as of late, it might not be your fault (heavy handed, too close). Anything around 50 degrees or less is often problematic with many primers and paints. I'm been more successful warming it up first in direct sunlight, if any, then after painting, hitting it with a heat gun. Also, lighter coverage coats tend to come out better than fewer heavier ones in these cooler temps...

Being the nice guy that he is, the zigster ( @JZiggy )helped me install @4Runner4Leon hood struts and we re-made the bracket for my blue sea fuse box since the previous bracket was interfering with the strut when the hood was shut..

That's some nice work on the bracket by @JZiggy ! How much did you have to move the fuse box to get the struts to fit?

Would have to have Sean confirm... I think we moved it inboard a couple of inches is all.

Got some Sicmods done to a couple items. Rhino-liner on the rear spoiler was one of many items that got rhino-lined.

The issue with my other bracket it’s that it didn’t get out enough. We didn’t take any before or after measurements but once a strut goes on you can get an idea of how much space you need to avoid the strut hitting the fuse box/bracket.

I’m usually in the South Bay (San Jose) doing Sicmods with Timmah. You should come to our MOD day on April 13th!

Sean, looks damn good! It can be addicting, so I hear. Curious what else you did, and what might be next...

Spray or roll-on?

My fairing on my GOBI rack was digging into my paint after my home depot weather stripping shifted after driving on death valley’s bumpy roads. So now my fairing was digging into my paint on my roof. OUCH! So I cut up an old door jam weather strip and pushed it onto the fairing. I’m surprised on how well this worked. Just push it on, and cut the weather stripping to the length of your fairing. If any of you guys need a good solution to giving your faring to have a nice cushion on your paint this may be a consideration for you.

It's been a while since I have posted on this thread...

My extended shaft bilstein 5100's got a little too extended!

Replaced those shocks a couple weekends ago.. dang things were so tired. they had been on for over 5 years.
