Weird electrical problems ....

Hi all,
Having some pretty interesting electrical problems and looking for any help. It all started when my horn stopped working and I finally discovered that the clock switch/ coil switch thing inside the steering wheel had broken. Turns out it is very hard to find a new clock switch out here in Sierra Leone so I decided to do some DIY and wire in a new temporary switch until I can find the proper one

So from under the steering column I found the +ve wire that lead to the horn switch, tapped into it and ran it to a push button switch which I mounted in one of the pop-out panels on the drivers side. Then from the switch ran to the body of the car.

The horn works fine this way. But now, my CD player (Kenwood) just starts randomly jumping around tracks and changing volume on its own. Then I honk the horn a couple times and it goes back to normal. And this repeats at seemingly random periods throughout the day!

Any idea?!

Sounds like a ground issue with your Kenwood. Double check that it is properly grounded!
