help me choose the right set up

First of, I'm going to say I'm sorry for posting another lift thread. I really can't find a straight answer from any research I did, and I did do a lot of research.

Basically I have right now a 97 4runner, with 3" daystar spacers on stock suspension. It's starting to feel to stiff on bumps! And I want to upgrade my front suspension and my rear suspension. I want to make the truck sit at 3" of lift.

Through my research, please correct me if I'm wrong , I have found that for the front,2000-2006 TUNDRA BILSTEIN 5100 ADJUSTABLE shocks will bolt "directly" on, and that you can use TUNDRA COILS. With this set up you get most 2.5" lift. But I want 3"!

For the rear, I came to conclusion that you can use rear 2000-2006 REAR TUNDRA BILSTEIN 5100 SHOCKS only if you change out the eye from 1/2 to 3/4.

Another option for the rear I'm looking is at the BILSTEIN 5125 (# 33-185590 )( same shocks that go for 200$ on toytec) which is extended vs the 5100

Question:
Can I use OME 880 front coils on the TUNDRA BILSTEIN SHOCKS ? if so how do I achieve best ride at 3" lift, if you cannot use OME 880 and get TUNDRA COILS, how do I achieve 3" lift ? ( spacer ?)

For the rear, can I use OME 890 REAR COILS with TUNDRA BILSTEIN REAR SHOCK ?

Or, can I use OME 890 REAR COILS with BILSTEIN 5125 ?

As OME 890 say it provides 3" of lift. Which would eliminate the rear spacers. And if I go with the bilstein 5125, I found them for a lot cheaper then on toytec.
Bilstein 5125 Offroad Shocks - Shockwarehouse.com

Please someone help me out on setting up my lift. Thank you very much for everyone's help.

3" Lift Kit with front and rear OME coils

If you are wanting a good ome 3 inch lift I would go with this and pair it with blistein 5100's. I would prefer the 883's over the 881's with top plate spacers and would also change the rear coils to the 891's but thats because I pull a boat a lot and they are meant for extra weight. You can change them with the drop down arrows. This is just my opinion. I dont own this lift.. or any lift for that matter.. so I cannot comment on the ride quality. But this is what I am getting once my tires need to be replaced.

I think You should go with the 890's in the rear (3" lift) and The Tundra Set-up in the front (2.5") lift
You always want the rear a little higher so when you put stuff it doesn't sag down. and the 890's will "settle" in after a bit of driving.

I love my set-up currently.

Bilstien 5100 (D558) along with Eibach/Toytec springs in front

For the rear I'm running OME 891's and 5125's

Why not the toytech/eibach front springs? I have 890 w/ 5125 bilstein rear and front is currently on tundra 5100s and stock 2000 4runner springs until I upgrade to newer front springs. Rides pretty good. I had the fabtech coilovers up front but those spring rates are too stiff for a stock weight vehicle.

I'm running Toytec/Eibach up front and the Tundra 5100s on the second notch. This gave me 3 1/2". In the rear I'm running OME 890 with 2 trim pakers on each side for and additional 20mm of lift. I also have Tundra 5100s in the rear and I purchased new 3/4" bushings from Summit Racing for less than $10 and swapped them out.

I also wanted 3" full front lift without paying the price for coilovers. I also wanted a good riding setup and didnt want to run a spacer since they cause stress on suspension components.

I ended up running ome 881 up front and ome , with Sonoran Steel 1" lift sleeves. Per Steve they dont cause the extra droop, which is what you dont want. It rides good, little stiffer than stock but I'm fine with that.

The TUNDRA trd bilstein 5100 adjustables will fit with toytec eibach ? I here people tell me that since eibach are rated for 3" that the ride will be stiff ? And this set up would give me 3" lift in front ? How would the ride be ? For daily driving and some off road.

Yes, the Tundra's just have 5 settings vs the 4runners 3 setting. I have 3" of lift on the front with the lowest setting, and ride is really nice.

I have the Eibachs with 4runner springs. The Tundra's are pretty much the same thing, they just have two additional settings for finer tuning of the suspension. I talked with Toytec before I purchased them, and was told the valving was same on both. I decided to go with the 4runner shocks since I most likely won't need to adjust them. I'm also pretty sure that the Tundra's are back ordered until the end of next month though. I was talking with someone about this yesterday.

He means he has the Eibach springs and Tacoma 5100 struts with 3 settings. I have the Tundra 5100s with the Eibachs set on the 2nd setting and the ride is just dandy.

And it's a little over 3" of lift in the front.

Is there a way to have it dead on 3"? Also can you adjust the height while everything is on the vehicale ? And if you run eibach, which on toytec it says they give 3" lift, the ride isn't stiff or bumpy ? Because if you get TUNDRA COILS then you really won't get 3" in theory ? What's the different between ome front coik and eibach

You'll want to pull them off to adjust them. I suppose you could do it on the vehicle, but I wouldn't want to. Once you've swapped them out a couple times, you'll get the hang of it and it'll take you no time. You'll have to adjust them if you want to stick at 3". The springs will settle and you'll need adjust as needed. The Eibach coils are just ones that Toytec pretty much calls theirs. Comparable in quality to the OME. Just seems like everyone uses the Eibachs, has great luck, and spreads the good word. I bought them based on suggestions from here, and I'm pleased with them.
